Coutts has a proud history of seeking to broaden the opportunities available for people across the social spectrum. We draw our inspiration from the example of Angela Burdett-Coutts, the grand-daughter of Thomas Coutts. She was a prominent social reformer and campaigner in the 19th century who worked to improve conditions and opportunities for women, in particular. In the centuries since, we have strived to continue her legacy.
Today, Coutts actively participates in the community by running coaching programmes for young people entering the workplace, volunteering at schools to provide education about money and financial services, in-house interview and CV workshops to promote diversity.
